Reporting standards

GRI

The mission of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Organisation is to provide a framework of Sustainability Reporting principles and guidelines. The GRI Sustainability Reporting principles and guidelines consist the world’s most widely used standard for sustainability reporting by all organizations in order to measure and report its financial, environmental and social impacts and performance. Metlen has voluntarily adopted, since 2008, the GRI guidelines as the basic framework for the disclosure of its non-financial data, following the most up-to-date versions of the Organisation such as the new "GRI Standards".

SASB

SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board) Standards, guide the disclosure of financially material sustainability information by companies to their investors. Available for 77 industries, the Standards identify the subset of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues most relevant to financial performance in each industry. Metlen implements a combination of the two disclosure Standards (SASB & GRI) metrics, in its Sustainable Development Report, identifying sustainability issues that are likely to affect its financial or operating performance.

TCFD

Metlen S.A. is the first Greek company to declare its support to the “Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures” (TCFD) initiative, proving its solid commitment to ESG and specifically its goals regarding climate change adaptation and the creation of a more resilient financial system. The TCFD initiative provides supporters with the necessary recommendations to assess the financial impact of climate change on their business. Metlen, within the context of its pledge to disclose information related to climate change, has issued a special TCFD report.
